Abstract
With the advance in technology, language input has changed from the days of printed text on paper to colorful multi-media on screen. Supporters of web based sugges t that web based learning has made language learning progressive. Effective use of web- based materials has to take account of the prerequisites of good English learning. For example, instead of learning strictly the rules and memorizing the vocabulary which are needed for reading a text, using web-based materials the learners can have links to vocabulary items so that they can click and get to the explanations easily. Also grammar can be learnt by having sentences in the text highlighted and linked to different levels of meaningful example. This research attempted to study student’s opinion on English language learning through web-based reading as well as to enhance their attitude towards English language learning through integration of web-based reading. To do this end of this research, a questionnaire about the background of students, a web-based reading task sheet as well a questionnaire about the students’ feedback of the practice were applied. The collected data followed by the interview with the students and then the quantitative and qualitative data were analyzed. The result showed that students find the web based reading as an interesting, beneficial and effective way for learning language. The abstract should summarize the contents of the paper and should contain at least 70 and at most 150 words. It should be set in 9-point font size and should be inset 1.0 cm from the right and left margins. There should be two blank (10-point) lines before and after the abstract.
