Abstract
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women and included a third of cancers in the world-wide women. BRCA1 gene is known as a tumor suppressor gene which absence of it can be leads to varied damage in the genome. Its lack can lead to vulnerability mammary cells to function as oncogenes. The aim of this study was to investigate mutations in exon 11 -B BRCA1 gene in Azerbaijani women with breast cancer. In this study of 40 patients with breast cancer that when surgery had a age of forty years and lower, get blood samples and exons 11-B BRCA1 gene were studied. PCR and direct sequencing methods were used for this study. In this paper, one nonsynonymous mutation(Arg951Thr) that are new, have been reported and for the first time has been reported. This mutation was observed in one of the samples.
