Abstract
Nowadays, nano- structure compounds are of interest because of their unique properties such as electrical, conductive, optical, magnetic and physicochemical features that are generally different from their bulk alternatives [1-2]. There are several methods for the preparation of nano-structure compounds. Nano-structure coordination compounds can be used as precursor for preparation of metal oxide nano particles. Among the metal oxide nano particles, CdO is an important one that may be applied in photodiodes, solar cells, gas sensors, photoelectrons and transparent electrodes [3-5]. In this work, CdO nano particles were synthesized from simple pyrolysis of one new CdL2 complex (L=1,2-[1-(3 formyl-4-hydroxophenylazo-4-nitrobenzene)]-4-chlorobenzene) at 600 ºC for 4h. The synthesized nanoparticles were studied by several techniques such as FT-IR spectroscopy, XRD and SEM.
