Abstract
Sn-doped PbS/PVA freestanding nanocomposite were successfully prepared by a simplechemical bath deposition (CBD) method. Sn-doped PbS/PVA nanocomposite, were prepared in different Sn molarities (0, 0.1, 0.3 and 0.6 mM). A mixture of 0.05M Pb(NO3)2 and 0.1M Na2S dissolved in deionized water was added to the PVA solution. Then SnCl2 with different concentration (0, 0.1, 0.3 and 0.6 milimolar) solution was added to the above solution with continuous stirring at 70 °C bath temprature. An X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy (AFM) and absorption analysis of the films were performed.X-ray diffraction patterns confirm the formation of all samples with cubic phase of PbS. Optical absorption and photoluminescence spectra showed the blue shifted phenomena. The varation of bandgaps of Sn: PbS/PVA sampleswere investigated with Sn concentration. With increasing ofSn concentration, the absorption and band gap increased up to 0.3 milimolar. At 0.6 milimolar of Snconcentration the absorption and band gap decreas.AFM analyses shows that PbS nanoparticle embedded in polymer matrix. The luminescence of PbS/PVA and Sn:PbS/PVA nanocompositswere compared, and the results revealed that the maximum emission wavelength of our samples is 427-428 nm with 280 nm excitation wavelength. The variation in photoluminescent intensity of sampels with Sn concentration were investigated.
