Abstract
There are a lot of interests in determination of hydrogen peroxide in analytical tasks because of great importance of hydrogen peroxide in different fields, such as food, clinical, pharmaceutical, industrial and environmental analyses. So development a high sensitive, selective and economical method for hydrogen peroxide determination is a challenge in many research groups. In this study gold nanoparticles were electrodeposited on the surface of carbon ceramic electrode for the determination of hydrogen peroxide in human urine. Morphology and composition of the resulting electrode was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The electrode displayed excellent response to the electro-reduction of hydrogen peroxide which is linearly related to its concentration in the range from 0.2 μM to 1200 μM. The detection limit of the developed sensor was 0.12 μM, and the sensitivity was 949 A M-1 cm-2. The modified electrode was used to determination of hydrogen peroxide in hair coloring creams as real samples.
