Title Recent advances in quantum dots based electrochemical biosensors
Type of Research Presentation
Keywords biosensors
Abstract Recently, semiconductor nanocrystals or quantum dots (QDs) have attracted considerable attentions due to their unique optical, electronic and catalytic properties. QDs have been regarded as promising and attractive building blocks for the development of efficient biosensors with high sensitivity, good selectively, rapidity and simplicity. Although there are many reports on the application of QDs in the analytical chemistry, there are many challenges in the development of selective and sensitive chemical sensors. Among the recently developed quantum dots, carbon dots and graphene quantum dots (GQDs) are the latest research frontiers which have attracted great interest in the development of electrochemical biosensors. In this presentation, a review of recently reported papers in the field of quantum dots especially GQDs based electrochemical biosensors will be presented. Also, a review of projects which have been done in my research team will presented.
