Abstract
It has been clear recently that the intermediate EFL learners' poor proficiency of speaking skills in Iran lead to their failure in many aspects of learning English. Also, we mentioned in the introduction section that vocabulary learning and the ability to recall them to use in their conversations is one of the important components of speaking abilities (Harris, 1969; Ollar, 1979). The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of Brain-based learning theory on the intermediate EFL learners' vocabulary retention and recall. Consequently, through prospering the students' productive vocabulary knowledge, students can communicate better, have successful interactions, and learn the English as a foreign language easily as a result.
