In this work, two novel coiled solid-phase microextraction (C-SPME) fbers based on resistance metal alloys named aluchrom and nichrome were developed for the frst time. The coiled fbers were easily prepared by using two diferent cost-efective commercial heating elements. The quick-designed extraction fbers showed a unique ability to adsorption of target analytes and therefore were employed without any pre-treatment and special coatings. To investigate the efciency of proposed methods, the prepared coiled fbers were used to the solid-phase microextraction of some polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) from standard and real samples followed by high-performance liquid chromatographic analysis. In optimum conditions, good linearity in the range of 1.0–326 and 2.5–400 μg L−1 has been achieved for aluchrom and nichrome fbers, respectively. By applying aluchrom and nichrome, limit of detection in the range of 0.17–1.49 and 0.18–3.28 μg L−1 was obtained for four selected PAHs. Furthermore, the intra-day and inter-day relative standard deviations (at the concentration of 25 μg L−1 of each target), for the aluchrom, were in the range of 3.22–9.62% and 4.15–9.98% and those for the nichrome fber were in the range of 3.23–8.43 and 4.55–9.69%, respectively. Moreover, the prepared C-SPME fbers resulted in better repeatability and short analysis time, promising analytical applications of the proposed SPME fbers for routine PAHs analysis.
