Abstract
The subject matter of this research is to approach the out of sight discursive differences, ideologies, ethical, racial, and presuppositions in the text(s) of reading tasks of the two English language teaching (ELT) course books, Top Notch 3rd edition (intermediate and upper-intermediate levels) and Summit series 3rd edition (advancement levels) from a Critical discourse analysis (CDA) perspective. Studying the discursive differences as part of critical discourse analysis research has been proved to be a discerning viewpoint for studying the dialectal relationship between language and other elements of social life. The main purpose of this study was to explore possible situations in which teacher-student relations may recede by a misunderstanding caused by the teacher.
