Abstract
It is believed that shyness and anxiety have negative effects on learning, so shy learners might be exposed to teacher neglect. In addition, speaking is known as the most demanding skills among other skills for shy and anxious learners. Knowing that high proficiency learners in advanced levels, too, are reluctant to speak and participate in class discussions due to shyness and anxiety, instructors in EFL classes can create appropriate environment and use special techniques and proper activities to deal with these students.
