Water-splitting plays an important role in the development of clean and renewable
energy production [1-3]. In this project, the Ni/Ag2O nanostructures were synthezied by coprecipitation
method. The obtined nanostructures were characterized using various
techniques. The electrocatalytic performance of Ni/Ag2O nanostructures was investigated for
hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) by several electrochemical methods in alkaline solutions.
Experiments revealed that Ni0.9Ag0.1Ox nanoparticles exhibit superior activity in alkaline HER
cmpared to pure Ag2O, and only need an overpotential of 104 mV at cdurrent density of 10
mA cm-2.
