Abstract

Motivation in online learning is quite a complicated phenomenon influenced by different things, including some internal factors such as personal characteristics and some external factors like course materials or classmates. Iraqi EFL learners have faced many problems with: poor internet connection for most students; and the lack of experience in using communication technology. Specifically, language learners’ motivation is prone to variations as a result of virtual education for a variety of reasons ranging from teacher variables to technology-related issues.
