Abstract
This work reports the synthesis of NiCoFe–LDH heterostructure arrays with GO/Fe3O4 and GO through a co-precipitation method. The structure, composition, and morphology of the heterostructure arrays were characterized by XRD, XPS, FT-IR, FESEM, TEM, EDX, and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) techniques. The NiCoFe–LDH/10%GO/Fe3O4 showed a higher electrocatalytic activity compared to other electrocatalysts. This electrocatalyst offered an overpotential of 186 mV, a Tafel slope of 88 mV/dec, and proper stability and electron transfer kinetics. Therefore, the NiCoFe–LDH/10%GO/Fe3O4 heterostructure array can be used as an appropriate OER catalyst.
