Abstract
Critical porosities are one of the main factors in reducing mechanical strength in parts produced by the laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) process, which can have different sources. The source of partial of these porosity is related to process parameters such as laser speed and laser power during production, which can be optimized and reduced. But in addition to the mentioned cases, the powder used in the production of parts can operation as one of the unavoidable factors of porosity in the parts, which has a spherical or irregular shape depending on the reason for its creation and grows when entering the final part. As a result, in this research, with a detailed look, the characteristics of the powder using different methods such as X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) have been considered and investigated.
