Abstract
One of the most important issues related to nexus systems is to find the optimal size of their components to ensure efficient techno-economic operation. Each of the sizing methodologies has its specific features, but choosing the suitable method depending on the conditions and facilities is very important. In this paper, after mathematical modeling of system components using genetic algorithm, efficient and cost-effective combination of the system is achieved. In the implemented method, there is no limit to the choice of the energy sources’ type and it is valid for all situations. Finally, a number of challenges and future research in relation to nexus systems are addressed.
