Abstract Introduction: The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between the management style and the income of football clubs in southern Iraq.
Method This study was applied in terms of objective, quantitative in terms of data type, also it was descriptive-correlation type. The statistical population of the current research was the managers of football clubs in southern Iraq (n=26). Schmidt's management styles (1998) questionnaire was used to collect data. Also, the data related to the amount of income was collected using the financial data of football clubs in southern Iraq. Pearson correlation and linear regression statistical tests were used to check the research hypotheses
Results: The research results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the management style (r=0.349, p=0.001) with the amount of income of football clubs in southern Iraq. And all dimensions of management style including goal-oriented (t=2.252, sig=0.028), member-oriented (t=5.671, sig=0.005), shadow (t=2.189, sig=0.041) and moderate (t=3.500, sig=0.019) have the ability to predict the amount of income. Conclusion: By considering results, it can be suggested to the football clubs managers, they need proper management style to save their teams from destruction and earn enough income in order to move towards success.
