Abstract
This research was conducted under the title of studying the implementation of physical education lessons in public elementary schools in Baghdad. The research method was descriptive. The statistical population of this research included all school principals, school assistants, and physical education teachers of public elementary schools in Baghdad. The sample size was 255 people whom selected randomly. To collect research data, a researcher-made questionnaire with 58 questions Yavari (1400) with 8 dimensions with a 5-point Likert scale and with reliability of 0.891 was used. One-sample t-test was used to test research hypotheses. The data was analyzed with SPSS24 software. The results showed that the overall average quality of the implementation of the physical education course as well as the average subgroups of the level of attention to the three areas (cognitive, behavioral and motor), the level of teachers' interest in the accurate implementation of the educational program, the content and library status of the implementation of the curriculum, school facilities and equipment , the variety of sports activities in the curriculum, the way to evaluate the performance of physical education teachers, the way to evaluate the skills and abilities of students, apart from the dimension of the achievement of predetermined lesson goals, were acceptable in public schools.
