Berberis integerrima belongs to the Berberidaceae family, and has many pharmacological activities
such as hepatoprotective, antimicrobial, antihypertensive, antioxidant, and antidiabetic effects. In this study,
phenolic acid constituents of the juice and waste of Berberis integerrima were studied. The results indicated that
the main phenolic acids were rosmarinic acid (1446.1 and 339.5 mg/10g), para-coumaric acid (151.4 and 73.1
mg/10g), and protocatechuic acid (51.3 and 59.4 mg/10g) in the juice and waste, respectively. So, these sample can exhibit high antioxidant properties s because of the high amounts of these compounds.
