Abstract
In this study, poly(Eriochrome Black T) /copper oxide nanocomposites were simultaneously electrodeposited on a graphenized pencil electrode (GPE/PEBT/CuO) for sensitive determination of Cd2+ and Pb2+ in water samples. Active surface area of the prepared electrode was remarkably increased in comparison with GPE/Cu and GPE/ PEBT. Under the optimized conditions including accumulation time of 200 s, accumulation voltage of 􀀀 1.0 V and pH 6, the prepared GPE/PEBT/CuO was utilized for Cd2+ and Pb2+ determination by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry with good linearity in the concentration range of 7.8–78 μg/L and 22–220 μg/L, detection limit of 1.8 μg/L and 6.85 μg/L and sensitivity of 0.1081 μA μg􀀀 1 L and 0.0394 μA μg􀀀 1 L respectively. The method was properly utilized for Cd2+ and Pb2+ detection in tap and river water samples with satisfactory results.
