Abstract
In this study, Polyaniline was electropolymerized on a graphenized pencil electrode (GPE/Polyaniline) for sensitive determination of Cd2+ in water samples. Polyaniline is a polymer that has excellent electrochemical behavior due to its high conductivity. The fabricated electrode was characterized carefully by Field emission scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and cyclic voltammetry to investigate the successful formation of Polyaniline on bare electrode. Active surface area of the prepared electrode was remarkably increased in comparison with pencil lead electrode (PLE/Polyaniline) and GPE/Polyaniline. Under the optimized conditions including accumulation time of 200s, accumulation voltage of -0.5 V and pH 6, the prepared GPE/Polyaniline was utilized for Cd2+ determination by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry with good linearity in the concentration range of 33.2-332.5 nM, detection limit of 1.7nM, sensitivity of 11.34µA µM-1 respectively. Controlled fabrication process as well as enhanced electroanalytical signal of the
