The innovative aspect of this research lies in its approach to solving the VRPTWMD through the application of the GWO algorithm. Unlike traditional methods that typically focus on a single deliveryman per route, our study introduces the concept of utilizing multiple delivery personnel to enhance service efficiency and reduce overall operational costs in densely populated urban areas. This is particularly significant given the rising demand for timely deliveries amidst challenges such as traffic congestion and limited parking. By integrating GWO—a nature-inspired algorithm known for its effective exploration and exploitation capabilities—this research aims to dynamically optimize the allocation of deliverymen and routes based on real-time data, thus adapting to the complexities of urban logistics. Furthermore, this study not only addresses the typical metrics of distance and vehicle usage but also places a strong emphasis on minimizing service times and adhering to time windows, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction.
