In this paper, a Vienna type boost rectifier is
discussed and controlled using sliding mode control. Grid
side's voltages are considered distorted and unbalanced.
Sliding mode control function is defied to control the DC
output voltage and AC input power factor. In order to produce
proper reference voltage, the sampled voltage is applied to
orthogonal system. The object of this system is to remove the
distortions and produce sinusoidal reference voltage. Using
pure sinusoidal reference voltage enables the control system to
perform better in terms of power factor correction and DC
output voltage regulation by eliminating distortions. The
presented simulation results show the validity and effectiveness
of proposed control method of three-phase Vienna rectifir
under utility side distortion.
