The superfamily Eriophyoidea Nalepa, 1898 consists of phytoparasitic acariform mites that include numerous harmful species. Their economic significance stems from their role in transmitting plant pathogens and causing damage such as galls, witch’s brooms, and enlarged buds. During the study of eriophyid mite fauna of subfamily Phyllocoptinae Nalepa, 1892 (Acari: Eriophyidae) in Bostanabad County (East Azerbaijan province, Iran), sampling was carried out on the dominant plants of this region in summer 2023. Eriophyid mites were recovered from the plant material by means of a modified washing method nd preserved in vials of Oudeman’s fluid. Collected specimens were mounted on microscope slides. Morphological measurements and identification were done by using an Olympus BX53 phase contrast microscope. During this study, three tribes, nine genera and 10 species were identified including: Tribe Tegonotini Baghdasarian, 1978: Genus Shevtchenkella Bagdasarian, 1978: Shevtchenkella juglandis (Keifer, 1951) from Juglans regia L. (Juglandaceae); Tribe Phyllocoptini Nalepa, 1892: Genus Leipothrix Keifer, 1966: Leipothrix mazandaranicus Varandi, Irani-Nejad, Lotfollahi, 2020 from Urtica dioica L. (Urticaceae); Genus Epitrimerus Nalepa 1898: Epitrimerus rumicis Farkas, 1960 from Rumex acetosella L. (Polygonaceae); Epiterimerus pyri (Nalepa, 1891) from Crataegus meyeri Pojark. (Rosaceae); Genus Calepitrimerus Keifer, 1938: Calepitrimerus baileyi Keifer, 1938 from Prunus armeniaca Thunb. (Rosaceae), Prunus sp. (Rosaceae), Prunus avium (L.) (Rosaceae), and occasionally from Atraphaxis spinose L. (Polygonaceae); Genus Phyllocoptes Nalepa, 1887: Phyllocoptes abaenus Keifer, 1940 from Prunus sp. (Rosaceae); Tribe Anthocoptini Amrine & Stasney, 1994: Genus Abacarus Keifer, 1944: Abacarus cf. hystrix (Nalepa, 1896) complex from Hordeum vulgare L. (Poaceae) and Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers.
