چکیده
Up to date, the conventional approached used for the detection of PSA, such as chemiluminescence, western blotting, electrochemiluminescence, and etc., are expensive and time consuming with the necessity to professional experts. To our knowledge, common approaches have false positive and also false negative errors during quantification of PSA. However, there are some limitations related to the application of these modalities. The problems with flow cytometry and ELISA assays correlate with a high analysis cost, and possibility of false negative and false positive errors. Also, the conventional methods are not sensitive enough and most of them require sophisticated instruments and laborious procedures. To this end, development and emergence of precise, ultrasensitive methodologies are highly recommended. Actually, the gap of knowledge is inadequate sensitivity of common methods. In this project we will apply specific type of nanocomposites of metal oxides and polymers as a signal amplifier in electrochemical detection of prostate cancer. In this regard, electrochemical biosensors integrate the simplicity, fast response time and low operation cost of electrochemical methods with bioselectivity of biological elements like antibodies. The designed immunosensor can detect total and free PSA protein concentration in the aqueous phases without PSA enrichment and isolation in a low concentrate dose. By applying several replicates and precise calibration, immunosensors can be industrialized for human medicine. Also, the candidate immunoassay can be used on the early-stage detection and monitoring and efficient management of prostate cancer.
