This paper introduces a new two-switch non-isolated high-step-up DC{DC converter with high
voltage gain and low current ripple. Compared to the traditional boost converter, this converter
has a very high voltage gain. The proposed high-gain converter includes two switches, two
inductors, three capacitors and three diodes. This converter uses the implication of a switched
capacitor with an inductor for high-voltage gain. It has a high voltage gain in both large and
small duty cycles. Moreover, the semiconductor devices have low voltage and current stresses in
the proposed DC{DC topology. In addition, the two switches are switched so that the currents
created in the two input inductors cause a low ripple in the input current. As a result, it is
suitable for photovoltaic (PV) applications due to low input current. In the following discussions,
the operation principles and mathematical analyses of the proposed converter are
explained. Also, the performance of this converter is compared with other topologies in the text
in terms of voltage gain and voltage stress of switches and diodes. Finally, the correct operation
of the proposed DC{DC converter is veri¯ed by practical testing and simulation using
MATLAB/Simulink software, and a 24{140 V, 150WDC{DC step-up circuit is implemented to
verify its operation.
