Apparently, any feminist study of every kind gives us a new perspective in women writing and feminine attitude. While works by men are abundant, work by women seems to be ignored by many literary critics. Hence, the first important factor for writing is related to the importance of feminine writing. Through analyzing the novel, the harsh experiences that a slave woman had can be revealed. Another significance of this study is the relationship of history and literature. Literature is a discourse that shapes history and has been shaped by history. Thus, analyzing a literary work for finding the historical facts is always beneficial. Furthermore, this study will unravel the pressure and suffering that African American people tolerated during the slavery. Moreover, this study can be a fruitful study of the integration between human and environment. This study shows how the environment and politics can affect the mindset of people and shape their mentality. Furthermore, this research intends to have a psychological analysis of the characters in order to clarify to relationship between the traumas and the environmental factors. From this point of view, it can be considered as an important reason behind literary analysis of a work. In addition to psychological and historical aspects of this study, the ecriture feminine of this novel will show us the issue of identity and how it was shattered in the slavery era. In fact, the complicated relationship between slavery and identity will be scrutinized in the light of feminine reading of this text. therefore, this study can represent the uniqueness of a novel that represent slavery from a feminine point of view among the traditional and patriarchal structure of western literature. Morrison’s novel is important because it is categorized as resistance literature; the literature aims to be the voice of marginalized people. Therefore, analyzing this novel will promote and develop resistance literature.
