In order to improve the electrochemical properties of these electrodes, their surface can be graphitized. Converting graphene to graphite increases electrical conductivity, improves open transfer resistance, and increases the surface area to volume ratio in these electrodes. Also, graphenization increases the surface adsorption power of these electrodes. Due to the ease of preparation of graphenized carbon ceramic electrodes and their polishability, this new substrate can be used to measure heavy metals using differential pulse voltammetry. Therefore, in this thesis, we will use a graphenized carbon ceramic electrode to measure cadmium in trace amounts using the differential pulse voltammetry method.
