Abstract
During a survey on eriophyoid mite fauna of Jolfa County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran, two new species of tribe Anthocoptini (Acari: Eriophyoidea: Eriophyidae: Phyllocoptinae), Aculus banafsheh Lotfollahi sp. nov. and Notallus anae Lotfollahi sp. nov. on Asparagus sp. (Asparagaceae), in Siyahsaran village were found, illustrated and described. They are the first Notallus and second Aculus mite species found on the plant genus Arparagus. Moreover, a key to Notallus species worldwide and a key to global eriophyoid mites infesting Asparagaceae plants are provided herein.
