Abstract
The increasing demand for compact and efficient power conversion systems has driven the development of high-frequency resonant DC–DC converters. Conventional hard-switching converters suffer from high switching losses, electromagnetic interference, and thermal stress at elevated frequencies, limiting their efficiency and power density. Resonant converters offer an effective solution by enabling soft-switching operation, such as zero-voltage switching (ZVS) and zero-current switching (ZCS), which significantly reduce switching losses and improve reliability. This research investigates high-frequency resonant converter topologies with the aim of achieving high efficiency, enhanced power density, and robust soft-switching performance over wide operating conditions. The study focuses on optimized resonant tank design and suitable control strategies to maintain stable soft-switching behavior. Simulation, theoretical analysis, and experimental validation are employed to evaluate the performance of the proposed approach. The results are expected to contribute to the development of compact and high-performance power converters for modern power electronic applications.
