Abstract
During field surveys of eriophyoid mites conducted in 2024 across in South Khorasan, Mazandaran and Kerman provinces (Iran), three new vagrant species (Acari: Eriophyoidea: Eriophyidae) associated with Lamiaceae plants were discovered, illustrated and described herein. They are Cymoptus stachyosa sp. nov. on Stachys acerosa Boiss., Aceria shirgii sp. nov. on Nepeta platystegia (Rech.f.) Jamzad et Serpoosh. ex Idrees, and Aculus thymuescens sp. nov. on Thymus pubescens Boiss. et Kotschy ex Čelak. No visible symptom was observed in host plants. This is the first report of the genus Cymoptus Keifer from Iran and the first record of this genus on plants of the family Lamiacea
