Abstract

This research investigates the strategies employed in novels translated by Iranian female translators through the lens of feminism, drawing on the framework established by Louise von Flotow. It highlights the insufficient attention paid to cultural and linguistic factors in feminist approaches to Persian translations. The study aims to explore feminist translation practices, focusing on von Flotows strategies, which include supplementing, preface/footnote, and hijacking. By analyzing the similarities and differences among translated novels, the research seeks to determine the extent of feminist yranslation in the works of Iranian female translators. Furthermore, it examines the relationship between source and target texts in terms of the identified strategies, as well as the gender_specific language and levels of neutrality present in the translations. Ultimately, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of feminist translation practices and sets the stage for future research on gender differences in translation.
