Abstract
Understanding the molecular mechanisms that regulate apoptosis is essential for clarifying the pathogenesis of immune-related and age-associated diseases. The BCL2 gene family plays a central role in determining cell fate, yet its precise contribution to immune dysfunction and aging processes is still unclear. Investigating the expression levels of BCL2 genes in autoimmune conditions can help elucidate how excessive cell survival contributes to the persistence of autoreactive immune cells and chronic inflammation. Additionally, examining BCL2 protein activity in aging may provide insight into the mechanisms underlying cellular senescence, tissue degeneration, and increased susceptibility to age-related diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular disease. The findings of this research may contribute to the identification of molecular targets for therapeutic intervention, improve early diagnosis, and enhance strategies for disease prevention and management. Therefore, this study is of significant importance in both basic biological research and applied biomedical sciences.
