Storage compounds derived from microalgae are appropriate alternative feedstocks for biofuel production. Speices based systems are exposed to contamination causing low productivity. Mixed culture as an industrially feasible solution to pure culture can be used to prevent contamination risk. Microalage can accumulate high level of starch and lipid in some stress conditions such as nutrient starvation. In this study, in a mixed-culture of microalgae, starch and lipid accumulation was investigated under nitrogen limitation in a six-day batch. As a result, the amount of starch and lipid at the end of batch became 41.3 and 29 % on the basis of volatile suspended solids, respectively.
