چکیده
Controlled segmentation of the power systems is the last resort to prevent large-scale blackouts. This paper investigates the impact of microgrids on power system islanding. The proposed algorithm utilizes the proper islanding scheme by using slow coherency theory and mixed integer linear programming to find the appropriate points in a splitting power system such that the cost function, which is the amount of load shedding, is minimized. First, the coherent groups are determined. Then, the buses located in the inseparable section of coherent generator groups are eliminated from the search space. Secondly, an optimization model for determining controlled islanding schemes has been developed by considering the features of microgrids. In this step, the mixed integer linear programming formulation finds cut-sets and islands arrangement. The solution of the optimization model satisfies the constraints of the power system. For this purpose, two kinds of power flow are utilized, and the results are compared. The effect of microgrids on system segmentation is analyzed by defining various scenarios. Also, a time domain simulation on the IEEE118 bus test system is utilized to validate the performance of the proposed algorithm.
