The phase inversion was used to prepare monolithic solid phase microextraction fiber based on polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) with mesoporous structure. For this purpose, PVDF 15% w/v as the main polymer and polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) 1.5% w/v as pore former were used. After characterization of the proposed fiber using FESEM and BET/BJH, it was used to extract bisphenol A (BPA) as a serious environmental and food contaminant. After optimization of the factors affecting the extraction process like extraction temperature and time, desorption solvent kind and volume, sample pH and salting out effect, the developed method was used for extraction and determination of BPA in bottled drinking water and sewage samples. Analytical figures of merit for the proposed method were obtained as 0.33 and 1.00 µgL-1 for limit of detection and limit of quantification, respectively. Also, a linear dynamic calibration curve was achieved in the range of 1-150 μgL-1 with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.9978. Repeatability studies for fiber to fiber and single fiber studies were obtained as 6.54 and 4.01, respectively, indicating excellent precision of both of the fiber preparation and extraction method.
