چکیده
Organic sulfide in fuels has become one of main sources of the air pollution. Deep desulfurization of fuels has become a hot issue. Research shows that a deep eutectic solvent (DES) has provided a new route for the deep extraction desulfurization of fuels for its cheap and easily obtained raw materials, higher desulfurization efficiencies and environmental friendly properties [1]. In the present work, the extractive desulfurization (EDS) technique was used to reduce the sulfur content from the liquid fuel using deep eutectic solvent (DES). The thermal method was used to prepare DES by adding Paratoluenesulfonyl chloride (PTSC) and choline chloride (ChCl) as hydrogen bond acceptors (HBA) and, at an appropriate molar ratio, using ethylene glycol (EG) as the hydrogen bond donor (HBD) [2].
