The increasing rate of breast cancer, combined with the important role of letrozole in its therapy, has driven the development of efficient analytical methods regarding this drug [17]. The proper determination of letrozole in both biological and environmental matrices is very important for therapeutic monitoring, pharmacokinetic studies, and the assessment of environmental exposure. However, most of the analytical methods so far reported need complicated operations in sample preparation, which possibly results in inefficiency and inaccuracy [18]. This work is of importance because of the pressing demand in the area of microextraction techniques that are low-cost, efficient, and green. The application of 3D printing technology is a game-changing moment due to the possibility of rapid prototyping thin films with tailored properties. Such novel approaches hold the true potential to revolutionize drug analyses, particularly those as important as letrozole. Combining advanced manufacturing methods with analytical chemistry, this work therefore has the prospect of major developments in both areas.
