Medicinal plants play an important role in health care and traditional medicine. It is a source of natural healing compounds. Many modern medicines are derived from medicinal plants. For example: Pain-relieving aspirin derived from willow bark. The cancer drug paclitaxel comes from the Pacific yew tree [1]. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 80% of the world's population relies on herbal medicines for some aspect of their primary health care [2]. They are part of the cultural practices of local communities. They often have historical significance and is used in traditional healing practices, ceremonies, and spiritual ceremonies. This traditional knowledge is important for conserving biodiversity and promoting sustainable practices. Medicinal plants contribute to biodiversity and ecosystem stability. They are often part of larger ecological networks which supports various species of wildlife. Preserving these plants is important not only for their cultural heritage but also to maintain the balance of the ecosystem. The medicinal plant trade is an important economic sector especially in developing countries. The study of medicinal plants provides a living for many, from herbalists to those involved in agriculture and wildlife crafts. Collecting plants from their natural environment may lead to the discovery of new bioactive compounds. Research into its pharmacological properties may lead to new treatments for diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and antibiotic-resistant infections
