This research explores Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury through Michel Foucault's theories on power dynamics and personal choice. It examines how the novel's dystopian society reflects Foucault's ideas on biopower and the control of knowledge, where censorship is used to suppress critical thinking and maintain authority. The study focuses on the character of Guy Montag, whose journey of self-discovery and resistance against societal control mirrors Foucault's concept of individual autonomy in the face of power. Ultimately, the research shows how the novel critiques surveillance and repression while highlighting the possibility of personal freedom through resistance.
