The importance of the research highlights the role of renalase as a vital factor in improving heart and kidney functions and reducing complications associated with cardiovascular and renal diseases. Understanding the extent to which the renalase enzyme and the factors influencing it are affected by diseases is crucial. This understanding aims to provide important data that can contribute to improving our comprehension of how these factors impact myocardial infarction [13].
Additionally, renalase can be used as a marker for the presence of heart problems, such as left ventricular hypertrophy or heart failure [14]. Renalase also improves kidney functions and reduces damage, such as reducing protein in the urine and preventing kidney fibrosis.
On the other hand, renalase provides protection to the heart in patients with chronic kidney disease from hypertrophy or fibrosis, and it works to reduce inflammation in the body by directing immune cells to function as "anti-inflammatory" cells instead of "pro-inflammatory" cells [15].
