چکیده
This research presents a comparative analysis of Albert Camus’s The Stranger and Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis, focusing on key existential themes such as alienation, communication breakdown, and the finite nature of existence. The analysis highlights the experiences of Meursault and Gregor Samsa, examining how Camus portrays Meursault’s emotional detachment and acceptance of life’s absurdity, while Kafka uses Gregor’s transformation as a powerful metaphor for isolation and rejection by society. By closely examining the texts, the research investigates how each author addresses the failure of meaningful communication and the protagonists’ struggles with identity and mortality. Grounded in existential philosophy and supported by literary criticism, this study highlights both the similarities and differences in their treatment of these themes. It ultimately demonstrates the continued significance of existential literature in understanding the challenges of alienation, mortality, and the search for meaning in modern life.
