Synthesis, spectroscopic, structural studies and photonics properties in cadmium(II)-4,4,4-trifluoro-1-(2-naphthyl)-1,3-butanedionato complexes incorporating ancillary chelating and bridging N-donor ligands

چکیده
A new mononuclear complexe, [Cd(2,2′-bpy)(tfnb)2] (1) and a one dimensional coordination polymers, [Cd(bpp) (tfnb)2]n (2) (Htfnb = 4,4,4-trifluoro-1-(2-naphthyl)-1,3-butanedione, 2,2ʹ-bpy = 2,2ʹ-bipyridine and bpp = 1,3- bis(4-pyridyl)propane), have been synthesized. They were fully characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Both the complexes 1 and 2 possess a monoclinic crystal system in the space group P2₁/n, with a single molecule in the asymmetric unit. The unit cell of compounds contains four molecules. Geometry around one metal centre is distorted octahedral. Within the crystal network of the complexes, there are interactions involving C-H•••X (X: O, F) as well as π–π stacking, which results in a 2D supramolecular structure. The results showed that utilizing of bpp in preparation of 2 leads to increase of the F¨orster energy transfer radius (RF), photoluminescence (PL) and Electroluminescence (EL) intensity in comparison with 1, Obtained results showed that the luminous efficiency, turn on voltage and current density in preparation of organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) by 2 above than 1.
