Heavy metals like zinc are toxic environmental pollutants that pose serious risks to human health and ecosystems, creating a need for accurate and efficient detection methods. So, in this thesis, a new sensor made by modifying an electrode with a nanocomposite of polypyrrole and graphene quantum dots. PPy provides a stable, conductive, and porous framework, while GQDs offer high surface area and excellent electrical properties. It is expected that combining them will create a highly sensitive and conductive platform. The expected outcome is that this PPy/GQD-modified electrode will be an effective tool for the electrochemical measurement of zinc and other heavy metals.
