In this paper, a single switch transformer less buck-boost dc-dc converter with high voltage gain and low voltage stress on the power switch for fuel cells application is proposed. In this topology, only one power switch is used which makes the control scheme simple as well as reducing the conduction losses. The voltage gain of the proposed converter is higher than the conventional boost and buck boost converters. In this converter, voltage stress on the power switch is less than the output voltage. The reduced voltage stress across the power switch enables the use of a lower loss switch. In this paper, the voltage gain, currents of circuit, efficiency and voltage ripple of capacitors are analyzed and simulation results are given to verify operation of the proposed converter.
