The integration of energy storage systems (ESSs) in power distribution networks has become increasingly important in recent years due to the increasing demand for energy and the need to increase the reliability of the grid. The implementation of optimization algorithms such as hybrid PSO-GA can help to properly plan the placement and size of ESSs in the network and minimize the total cost of unsupplied energy and the cost of ESSs while ensuring the safe operation of the network. The research proposed in this paper is therefore necessary and significant in order to improve the reliability of the power distribution network and reduce the associated costs.
