The advances achieved in nanotechnology have brought significant changes in coating processes and formulation of coating materials, which have created effective applications in dealing with fire, corrosion, impact, heat, and other environmental factors. New coatings prepared based on nanoparticles have found a variety of applications, including protection against corrosion, light, wear and tear resistance, and swelling coatings. The advances in the formulation of these materials allow the control of parameters such as the size of nanoparticles, and chemical properties. The surface of nanoparticles has resulted in more surface coverage of the substrate with nanoparticles, as well as more activity and reactivity of nanoparticles compared to them. The present research aims to prepare graphene composite coatings to prevent steel corrosion. Graphene oxide was first synthesized by the modified Hamer method, and then, the desired composite was prepared using the desired metals. Finally, the effect of each composite component on the corrosion of steel was investigated. Next, the effect of graphene composite on preventing corrosion was studied. In the following figures, the hydrophobicity of the steel surface coated with epoxy resin containing graphene composite and without coating and the particle size by SEM, are shown.
