چکیده
Tonsillitis is a prevalent condition that affects individuals of all ages, causing significant discomfort and potentially leading to complications if left untreated. Understanding the underlying molecular mechanisms driving the inflammatory response in tonsillitis is crucial for improving clinical management and developing more effective treatment strategies. The gene expression patterns of key cytokines, such as TNF-α and IL-6, can provide valuable insights into the pathogenesis of the disease. Extensive molecular analyses have demonstrated that the expression profiles of these pro-inflammatory cytokines undergo significant modulation in tonsillitis pathology. Quantitative assessments have revealed that IL-1β and IL-6 concentrations are markedly elevated in chronic tonsillitis patients compared to control subjects, with post-tonsillectomy studies showing significant reductions in these inflammatory mediators [2]. The elevation of these cytokines correlates with the clinical manifestation of chronic tonsillar inflammation, suggesting their potential utility as molecular markers for disease progression and therapeutic monitoring. Currently, the existing literature on the role of TNF-α and IL-6 gene expression in tonsillitis patients is limited. Most studies have focused on the general inflammatory response without a specific emphasis on the expression of these critical cytokines. Addressing this knowledge gap through targeted research is essential to expand our understanding of the molecular pathways involved in tonsillitis. Investigating the gene expression of TNF-α and IL-6 in tonsillitis patients has several important implications: 1. Pathogenesis Elucidation: Analyzing the expression patterns of these proinflammatory cytokines can contribute to a better understanding of the underlying mechanisms driving the inflammatory response in tonsillitis. 2. Biomarker Identification: The findings may identify potential biomarkers that could aid in the early diagnosis, monit
