The synthesis of lidocaine derivatives is of significant interest due to their biological and medicinal
activities. Adamantane, a hydrocarbon with affinity for lipid bilayers, is used to enhance
pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties in drug development . It serves as a building
block for functional groups or as part of self-aggregating systems like liposomes. Diamondoids,
including adamantane, are carbon cage molecules found in petroleum, used for their structural
similarity to diamond. Incorporating adamantane into drugs often improves pharmacological
properties without increasing toxicity, leading to promising drug candidates. Thus, synthesizing
novel lidocaine with an adamantane moiety is pursued for enhanced biological activity .
