چکیده
Anthropometric indices could be used as powerful and efficient tools of developing basic skills in children and identifying their bright sport aptitudes. The present study was conducted to find the relationship between anthro-pometric indices and kinetic performances of agility, balance and foot power in school children aged 10 to 12. Us-ing Cochran table, 186 students were selected through multistage cluster sampling from all 2600 primary school children in Miandoab schools as statistical sample. The data were collected via standard anthropometry model of Malina and Bouchard and agility was measured through "Burpee" and "Round-trip Run" tests. Balance perfor-mance was tested using beam balanced and angel tests. Finally, the foot power was tested via "Sargent test". Data from 36 subjects were nullified due to distortion but the data from the remaining 150 subjects were analyzed through Pierson correlation and multivariable regression statistical methods using SPSS 21 computer application. Results revealed that there was no significant relationship between anthropometric indices of weight, height, sit-ting height, shoulder width and pelvis, ankle and hip perimeter, sitting stature along with pelvis to shoulder and performing kinetic skills. The level of kinetic aptitudes and skills in children depends on their gender, age, height and other physical characteristics; thus, these factors affect their kinetic performances.
