In this work we use qualitative theory of differential equations to study the qualitative behavior of the solutions of a generalized Li´enard system. Under quite general assumptions we present some sharp conditions under which the solutions of the system are oscillatory. Some examples are presented to illustrate our results. Bol. Soc. Paran. Mat
